The Cultural Industries Quarter (CIQ) Agency has a long track record of driving regeneration, investment and development in the cultural industries in South Yorkshire.

The CIQ Agency has contributed to the development of high profile successes in Sheffield, including the redevelopment of Butcher Works, JIGSAW and Developing Creativity. A host of smaller projects have also been supported, putting in place a growing infrastructure for the development of creative and digital industries in South Yorkshire and beyond.

Past initiatives have seen the CIQ Agency remain at the innovative edge of regeneration work. The Cube is South Yorkshire's first bespoke live/work scheme. Its green roof offers an unusual approach to supporting biodiversity and reducing the building's carbon footprint. Creative Exchange: South Yorkshire (CE:SY) has supported the development of sustainable managed workspace for creative and digital industries through innovative partnerships with the voluntary and community sectors. CE:SY also promoted the growth of networking and learning opportunities in the creative and digital sector and ensured the development of a strong seed bed of growing businesses who occupy the workspaces created.

The CIQ Agency is now actively investigating projects to drive forward the next stage of growth.
