The Cube Opens Doors to Future Photogrpahers

The Cube on Shoreham Street, Sheffield is hosting an exhibition by second year photography students from Sheffield Hallam University. The show runs from Tuesday 16 to Monday 22 March and is open to the public from 10am to 4pm each day. Entitled ‘Made in Sheffield - Slightly Imperfect' the images are anything but and portray the students' visions and experiences of the city ranging from character portraits, architectural celebrations and abstract expressions.

The group project has also enabled the 11 newcomers to learn how to research, organise and stage their very own exhibition and The Cube is delighted to be able to offer them the space and to support their developing talent.

Student Kevin Fotherby led on the organisation which also included getting sponsorship for opening night drinks. On his creative work he says "It centres around the intrinsic connection between nature and people and through a series of tree portraits I explore nature's ability to invoke emotion and feeling."
