The CUBE is South Yorkshire's First Bespoke 'Live/Work' Scheme, Set in the heart of Sheffield's Cultural Industries Quarter

The Cube is specifically designed for those in the Creative and Digital Sectors who want a more flexible approach to how they organise their work and home accommodation. The Cube offers the entrepreneur a flexible and sustainable solution by integrating the cost of business premises with affordable city-living housing costs.

There is a recognised, rapid increase in people working from home across Britain. The importance and need to provide small business space for young and start-up companies in the creative and digital industries sector is also a high priority, and the Cube merges these two as home is now where many businesses actually start. The Cube development is an important pilot project that has been spearheaded as a special partnership between the CIQA Agency and Derwent Living (a registered social landlord) and has been supported by Sheffield City Council and the Regional Housing Board, with the aim of testing and establishing a Live/Work Service for the City.

It is anticipated that the Cube will contribute to new firm creation and business growth in the Cultural Industries Quarter. Through the CIQA's ongoing partnership with Derwent Living, the Cube will help broaden the housing and working options and choices for people living and working in the Quarter.
