CIQ AgencyThe Cultural Industries Quarter Agency aims to maximise the impact of the CIQ in Sheffield and the creative industries across South Yorkshire by creating conditions for growth. Their role in the partnership was to administer the project and support partners in the delivery of sector-specific training, capacity-building, showcasing, the testing of new pathways into employment, new business support measures and transnational exchanges.

SHIFT delivers media training using creativity to harness attention into vocationally rewarding areas. For The Last Mile they enhanced their Entry2Employment programme for young people and their Film Council First Light production scheme, providing work placements and a new Special Effects Make Up course. In 2007 they planned to revive the popular multicultural festival, Music in the Sun. Its organisation, marketing and staging was to provide Last Mile beneficiaries with valuable training and work placement opportunities. They offer specialist support in Spray Can Art, Event Management, DJ Skills, Graphic Design, Photography and more.
